Life Science or Physical Science? Which is your fav and why?

So here is my very FIRST blog give-away. The winner of this sign will be randomly chosen from all of the comments I get to this post by November 15 at midnight. It would make a delightful holiday gift for that special geek in your life or just a cool sign for yourself! To make this even MORE FUN, I will also give away a periodic table necklace to the person that sends the most people to my blog. Please let me know the first name of who "sent you" in your reply and GOOD LUCK! (Remember, to qualify, please just tell me which is your favorite and why...physical or life science...guess which is mine???)

  1. Definitely physical science. I love how nearly everything in nature can be described by equations, and I marvel at the elegance of the periodic table.

  2. Shop Gibberish has such a fun twist on traditional science! Thank you so much for these beautiful items

  3. Definitely Life Science! It is so much more fun to study living things than Capital letters on a chart: H, O, C...boring! Of course there are some fascinating letters out there like
D-N-A..gotta love those guys!! And that brings us right back to the marvel of living things...GO LIFE!!

  4. Chemistry is oh so much fun and all...(ha!) but I'm with Rachael on this one...life science!! :)

  5. It's definitely life science for me, because I can see (and thus understand!) the subject matter. An electron microscope may be necessary at times, but seeing is believing for me!

  6. Great idea. Excellent for a kid's name plaque to get her interested in science early!

  7. Sorry folks - to quote the preeminent Dr. Sheldon Cooper, "When you understand the laws of physics, ..., anything is possible. And may I add, 'Mwah, ha, ha.'"

It's the physical sciences (with a generous heaping of mathematics) that take the cake.

I re-posted because I forgot to say YOU sent me here, so if I win make yourself a necklace!

  8. Yes, it is true. I'm now asking my customers, who are obviously chemistry/physics fans to help me out here. And ones that say Mwha, ha, ha, are obviously on to some big truths in life. (I mean physics.)

And hello? The comment about the elegance of the periodic table is golden. It is positively exquisite in my opinion...as are all those lovely laws/truths of physics!

  9. I have to say, physical science rules my world. I work with molecules every day. Cells...not so much. Other than the food I cook, that is.

  10. At the risk of being banished from the blog--I'm an English major who got through college by taking "rocks for jocks" to fulfill my science requirement. However, I have a wonderfully rebellious daughter who is a high school senior planning to earn her PhD in Chemistry! I'll have to vote physical science since I found my way here while looking for Christmas gift ideas for her! :)

  14. Physical sciences! Of course, I am a physics teacher, so it is the obvious choice for me! Cool stuff - it caught my eye surfing etsy!

  15. Love your Etsy shop! I was a fashion major--so barely skated by in my "biology for non-majors"...but my boyfriend is studying nuclear engineering and physics--so I'll say physical science! :)

    Keep up the great work!

  16. I'm going with bio, just because my 3 year old is all about the TMBG "Mammals" song, and all of her play these days involves being nocturnal.
    Love your work!!
